The Labour, skill and Employment Department, Govt. of Gujarat has come out with a notification fixing maximum period in which a registration/licence application has to be approved under The Contract labour (R & A) act and Interstate Migrant Workmen Act. Accordingly any such application pending beyond 45 days from the date of its application will be deemed as approved. Necessary notification is attached.

With his daughter, Mansi Gandhi, BBA-LLB and LLM, joining the business full time as a practising lawyer and a lead auditor, they plan to foray into the emerging business of conducting audits by explaining to their potential clients about its importance. Shedding light on the future plans of their firm, Parag also said, that they intend to strengthen their presence in the courtroom by bringing in fresh new talent so that companies situated in their area don’t have to scout for their representational needs from among the bigger cities. He also added that “With the possible implementation of new labour codes in the near future, it is the right time for companies to have an expert like us on board for proper understanding and implementation of the changes these new codes will bring with them”.
