Important changes in The Contract Labour (R & A) Gujarat Rules, 1972

The Labour and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat has published one notification dated 14/06/2021 making some important changes in The Contract Labour (R & A) Gujarat Rules, 1972. The same are as follows:-

1. The practice of filing half yearly return by contractors (Form xxiv) is done away with. The form stands deleted.
2. Filing of annual return (Form xxv) by employers is discontinued. The form stands deleted.
3. Displaying abstract of Contract Labour Act by contractors is discontinued. Rule 79 stands deleted.
4. Every Principal Employer, Contractor, establishment will have to file Consolidated Annual Return (CAR) between 1^st January and 1^st March each year.
