The ESI Corporation has launched a scheme called SPREE, to promote voluntary registration by employers under the ESI Scheme w.e.f. 1st July, 2025. According to the scheme, any employer who registers for coverage under the ESI Act during the period from 1st July, 2025 to 31st Dec, 2025 shall not be bothered for any retrospective coverage and punitive action for non coverage.
